After hearing from my neighbour, Anastasia, about the struggles women in her village face just to access water, I knew I wanted to help.
While we enjoy the luxury of clean, free water in every town across Australia, these women must walk kilometres each day, often at risk of being attacked, simply to collect enough to survive.

Water is the most essential resource for human life. Because we have it on tap, we’re able to focus on work, family, and opportunities that improve our quality of life. For Anastasia’s village, a well will do the same, providing safe drinking water, better health, and the chance to grow and thrive in other areas of life.

You can be part of this change by purchasing one of their beautifully handcrafted bowls or by making a donation. Every dollar raised goes directly to building the well.

Once we reach our goal, we’ll share the journey of the well being built, and how it transforms the lives of an entire village.

GOAL - To Raise $5000
100% of the proceeds goes straight to building the well.
This will help to build a well in Zimbabwe that will support 500 people. It will empower the women. Instead of walking to get water they can focus on their talents and make bowls to sell. Having an income will help them send their children to school and have a better life. They will also have better health, better safety and more empowerment. 100% of the proceeds go straigt to building the well.

It breaks my heart to think these women have to risk being attacked every day just to get water. We have water readily available in Australia. Just a small donation will make a big difference.

Follow my journey on Instagram @LaraJackman. I will be sharing stories of my training, the journey and updates on how much we've raised. I'm a Mother of 2 boys (6 and 2), I work full time and I'm averaging 15 hrs a week on the bike to train for this. What drives me is to make a real difference for those less fortunate.
