From Zero to 5km – Your Running Journey Starts Here

If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to run, but I wouldn’t know where to start”, you’re not alone. Running can feel daunting when you’re just starting out – especially if you’re trying to go it alone. That’s where our Beginners Run Group at Sydney Park comes in.


Starting Monday 8 September at 6:30am, this six week program is designed to take you from 0 to 5km with the right mix of professional guidance, structure, and community support.


Why join a run group instead of running solo? When you train on your own, it’s easy to skip a session, get stuck in a rut, or give up before you see results. Training as part of a group keeps you motivated and accountable and it’s a lot more fun. You’ll be alongside others who are starting at the same level, so there’s no pressure to “keep up” with seasoned runners.


What you’ll get:


  • Professional coaching – Learn proper technique, pacing, and strategies to make running feel easier and safer.

  • A clear plan – Each week is structured to help you build distance and endurance at the right pace.

By the end of the program, you’ll be able to run 5km and more importantly, you’ll have the tools and confidence to keep going.
