Is it time to go to the next level?

Could 3 - 4 Sessions a Week Be Your Next Step?
You’ve built the habit. Now it might be time to build on it. If you’ve been training with Healthy Habit for six months or more and you’re currently coming along once or twice a week, firstly, well done! Consistency is the hardest part. You’ve made exercise part of your routine, you’ve found a way to fit it around work, family and everything else life throws at you, and you’ve kept showing up.
But if you’re ready to see more from your training, there’s one simple change that could make a big difference, train a little more often. Moving from one or two sessions a week to three or even four can be a fantastic next step, particularly if you’re looking to get stronger, improve your fitness, change your body composition or simply feel your best.
Why 3–4 sessions can make such a difference
1. You get more opportunities to build strength.
Strength doesn’t happen overnight. Your body needs regular exposure to resistance training to adapt, get stronger and build muscle. With one session a week, you’re giving your body one opportunity to stimulate those adaptations. With three sessions, you have much more opportunity to progressively challenge different muscle groups, practise movements and build strength over time.
And for women in their 40s and beyond, strength training becomes increasingly important for maintaining muscle mass, bone health, strength and independence as we age.
2. You’ll start to see faster progress
Think about learning any new skill. If you practised once a week, you’d improve, but slowly.
If you practised three times a week, you’d have far more opportunities to improve.
Exercise is no different. More frequent training means more opportunities to challenge yourself, increase your weights, improve your technique, build fitness and keep progressing. You don't necessarily need to train harder. You just need to train consistently and often enough to give your body a reason to adapt.
3. It becomes easier to maintain momentum
Have you ever had a really good week of training, then missed a few days and found it harder to get back into it? Training three or four times a week can help create a stronger routine. Instead of exercise being something you try to fit in, it becomes a normal part of your week. And the more established the habit becomes, the less motivation you need to get yourself there. Consistency beats motivation. Every time.
4. You can do more without having to make every session harder
This is an important one.
Increasing your sessions doesn't mean you need to smash yourself every time you train.
In fact, the opposite can be true. Three or four sessions give you the opportunity to spread your training across the week. You might have a couple of strength-focused sessions, a fitness-based session and a session that's a little lighter or more mobility-focused. This allows you to get more movement into your week without every workout needing to be an all-out effort. Prehaps mix some Strength and Mobility classes with the Bootcamp classes.
5. It can help with body composition
If changing your body composition is one of your goals, resistance training is incredibly valuable. Building and maintaining muscle helps create a stronger, more capable body, while regular exercise contributes to your overall energy expenditure. But it's important to remember that more sessions aren't a magic weight loss solution. Nutrition, sleep, stress, daily movement and recovery all play a role too. Think of increasing your training as one piece of the bigger picture.
But isn't 1–2 sessions better than nothing?
Absolutely. If one or two sessions a week is all you can realistically manage, keep doing them! We would much rather have you training twice a week consistently than attempting five sessions a week, burning out and giving up.
But if you've been training once or twice a week for six months or more, and you're enjoying it, recovering well and have the capacity to do more, it might be worth asking yourself: "What could happen if I gave my body a little more?" You might be surprised by the difference. You don't have to jump straight to four If you're currently doing one session a week, try two. If you're doing two, try three. Give yourself a few weeks to adjust and see how you feel. Once three sessions feels normal, you can decide whether four would benefit you. And remember, more isn't always better. Better is better.mThe goal isn't to fill every spare moment with exercise. It's about finding the sweet spot where you're training enough to make progress while still giving your body enough time to recover. Your next level might simply be showing up one more time
If you've been with Healthy Habit for six months or more, you've already done the hardest part , you've built the habit. Now, if your schedule allows, why not challenge yourself to take the next step? Three sessions a week could mean more strength. More fitness. More confidence. More energy. More progress. And perhaps most importantly, more of those moments where you finish a session thinking, "I'm really glad I came." So, have a look at your week. Could you add one more session?
